Help on probability question(s)!!!?
i hate asking for people to give me answers on homework, but i really need help on these:
1.)Farmer Brown must wake up before sunrise to start his chores. Dressing in the dark, he reaches into a drawer and pulls out two loose socks. There are eight white socks and six red socks in the drawer.
-Find the probability that both socks are: white, red, the same color.
2.)Tillie had three quarters and four dimes in her purse. She took out a coin at random, but it slipped fromher hand and fell back into her purse. She reached in and again and picked out a coin at random. Find the probability that:both coins were quarters.
if you won’t give me the answers, can you explain what is the first step?do i have to do the tree diagram? how do branch off? thanks!!!!
